Letter from Gábor F.

Dear Mr. István Balogh,

I have been transferring 1% of my personal income tax to your Foundation.

And this will be the same also in the future.

Thanks God I am not affected in any ways, there were no ill children in our family and in our circles of friend or acquaintance.

Despite of the above I believe that you deserve the support and I will ask everyone I know to support you.

I have decided to write to you, because I feel that in this morally degraded and in all aspects corrupt country we need to respect and feel for those handful of people, who are serving a good cause with all their heart and talent.

I have been following your heroic fight carried out in the interest of ill children.

This repeated and bold attack by the press is unacceptable, and unfortunately the moral in this country has dropped this low. Furthermore the prevailing politics and even part of the medical society come up with barriers against honest people who are willing to take measures for a good cause instead of fully supporting these civil enterprises.

I am asking you to do everything in the future with similar power and skills for the things you have committed to, and hopefully the time will come when people, like you will be respected.

Don’t be shy! In my opinion for your work you deserve a respectful regular income, even amounting to multiple amount of an average income. What is not normal how the teachers, physicians, public servants etc. are exploited and also that the affected people are just putting up with it with a blank face.

The fact, that nowadays snivelling young politicians are only thinking in billions of forints, fail to pay any taxes and doing anything for the public is the last thing on their mind is outrageous.

The leader of the Medical Society, who is by the way pretty much controlled by politics, earns several times the average wage, so why could your salary be not high? Why could you not use any cars?

Please ignore the bold critics and the opinion of jealous press workers and their supporters !

I believe that Hungary is a very rich country, because this level of stealing-cheating, corruption and the wasting of human resources would even make Switzerland’s economy collapse!

I wish you perseverance and good health for your work.

Yours faithfully,

Gábor F.
