The 7-year-old Viki was diagnosed with leukemia three and a half years ago. She has finished the chemotherapy treatments, and she can finally attend school now. Her mum is a single mother, which is rather burdensome, seeing that caring and bringing up a child with cancer means additional expenses and problems in every family. At the beginning of the treatments, her mother turned to our Foundation for help, and since that time we have been providing them regular support.
We have provided special financial support to Viki’s family in several times. We have also contributed to the costs of her therapy to strengthen her immune system, buy her school supplies, and we have recently paid the expenses of an alternative examination as well.
But to declare that she has recovered completely, even more asymptomatic years have to be passed.
