A DONATION OF FIVE AND A HALF MILLION HUF

The BAZ County Hospital’s Children Health Centre was granted technical

equipment corresponding to the expectations of the 21st century

The Director of the Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén County Hospital requested the support of our Foundation for the replacement of the operating-rooms lamp, which has been working for over 30 years in the Hospital’s Paediatric Health Centre, Paediatric Surgery, Traumatology and Burn Trauma Department.

The performance of the lamp, which has been in operation for so many years, is failing to deliver to the current requirements, therefore our Foundation decided to supplement the Hospital’s available funds and grant 4.597.400 HUF for purchasing the new operating-room lamp. The lamp equipped with an up-to-date LED light source provides a more optimum luminance and elucidation area for the various types of operations performed in the room, which will significantly make the work of the surgeons a lot easier. Every year approx. 100 to 130 oncologic operations are carried out at the paediatric surgery department. With the help of the new operating-room lamp now the cancerous tumours can be removed in a more accurate manner, alongside histological biopsies and insertion of venous cannulas required for permanent treatments and bone-marrow transplants..

At the premature infant intense care unit of the hospital, where the provision of appropriate quality water is crucial for the nutrition of infants, so far there was no water cleaning equipment available. The management of the institution also asked for our help. Our Foundation in order to ensure the appropriate care of premature infants purchased two water cleaning equipment in a total value of 994.000 HUF.
