Due to the project launched jointly with "Tincses Sziget Gyermek Élmény Fodrászat" (a special hairdresser salon for children), many people offered their locks to be used for wigs for children with cancer.
Today Barbi, another happy owner, has received the wig prepared for her out of donated locks and, as you can see in the photos, she is smiling again.
Barbara was diagnosed with Ewing’s sarcoma last year and, as a side effect of the chemotherapy she received, she lost her hair and eyelashes. It was very painful for the 17-year-old girl. Her parents tried to help by purchasing a wig made of artificial material but this type of wig irritated Barbi’s scalp.
They turned to our Foundation, and we were able, due to all those offerings, to fulfill Barbi’s dream.
