Announcement by the Children Cancer Foundation

The undeserved media attacks launched a few days ago severely damage the reputation gained by our Foundation in the last 16 years. We are taking the necessary legal measures against the people who put a false light on the actual facts and made false statements.

Only one single statement of the internet-based portal is true. Namely that the ambulance wagon of the Children Cancer Foundation drove on the rails. For this the President of the Children Cancer Foundation apologised in public and warned the driver to refrain from such behaviour in the future. The author of the article however ignored the fact made available to him in writing and spoken, which contained that the ambulance wagon had to do the trip between Budaliget and Rákóczi tér, because the President of the Foundation for cost-saving purposes accommodated a parking space in his own garage.

The content of the article drew the attention of nearly the entire media and they used the traffic offence to create severe and non-established accusations against the Foundation and Mr. István Balogh.

A megtévesztő cikkek miatt ma már az ügyet politikai megnyilvánulások is kísérik.

Due to the deceptive articles now the case is also accompanied by political manifestation.  Unfortunately the fact, that the Foundation granted a unique nearly 3 billion HUF amount to support hospitals, physicians, and mainly children suffering from cancer and their family members, has not been mentioned anywhere.

The Children Cancer Foundation and the President decided not to make another declaration in the media until the forecasted investigations are concluded.

President István Balogh wishes to emphasise that he is continuing with his unquestionably important work in the interest of the Foundation and sick children.
