Our Foundation awarded the golden rank of the Honour for Overcoming Children Cancer on 13 June 2013. The ones who received this honour had greatly contributed with their prominent work or donation to improve the chances of children with cancer to recover. The three awarded persons were selected by the supervising board of our Foundation. This Honour is under trademark protection granted by the Hungarian Intellectual Property Office. An honorary certificate and an individually designed jewellery (for women a necklace and a pendant, and for men a pin) are awarded as the honour. The golden ribbon on the pendant and on the pin is the symbol of the Children Cancer.

This year the honour was awarded to:
Anikó Nagy, Md.,the head physician and general directress of the Heim Pál Children Hospital, who does her best as a committed physician to achieve that the rate of recovery among children with cancer in Hungary may reach the EU standard.
István Regös, the founding chief editor of the Mix Magazine, who devoted several articles to the work of the Children Cancer Foundation. Through his reports he draws the public attention to the problems of children cancer, and the difficulties, but at the same time these reports provide a guideline towards the possibilities of recovery.
Lajos Kóbor, the prominent donor of our Foundation, who set the target of improving the chances of children with cancer for recovery, and with a remarkable donation he helped the recovery of not only Hungarian children but also those living beyond the border.

At the awarding ceremony, as the hostess of the event, Claudia Liptai greeted the guests. When awarding the certificate and the honour, István Balogh, the chairman of the supervising board, appreciated the honoured persons’ prominent work and thanked for their donations by which they greatly contributed to the recovery of children with cancer. After the awarding, Anikó Nagy Md. and István Regös told that it was a great honour to them to receive this acknowledgement, and requested everyone to follow and support the work of the Children Cancer Foundation, because this organisation did a lot indeed for the children fighting against this malignant disease and their families, and provides uniquely great support to the hospitals curing children with cancer and to assist the healing work of physicians. The ceremony was made even more splendid by Péter Gerendás, Liszt award winning artist, who sang two songs as a salute to the honoured persons and the guests.
