IS THE GREAT CANCER BUSINESS OVER?
According to István Balogh, the president of the advisory board of the Children Cancer Foundation, the information published in our journal was not true. We granted his request, deemed to be based on facts as follows: 1. “The Children Cancer Foundation has fulfilled the reasonable wishes received from the hospitals, with a total amount of 1 billion 477,000 Forints so far”, we claimed. The correct information: one billion 477 million Forints. 2. Journalist ofthe Index [...] presented the organization’s property in Florida”, we wrote. “The Children Cancer Foundation has no property in Florida. The property in Florida belongs to István Balogh and his family”, he said. 3. According to the paediatric oncological centres the foundation have not provided support for them since 2013. Whereas Balogh attested with invoices that out of the amount of 219 million Forints received from 1% offers last year he transferred to the centres 23 million Forints.
